The story is told in Matthew, Mark and Luke which portrays an extremely busy day where Jesus was healing people, casting out demons and speaking. Now I'm not quoting scripture word for word but I think you will get the message, Jesus was exhausted and overwhelmed after a days work. He requested a boat and his disciples to accompany him. on a journey.
On the journey, a huge storm rolled in and the disciples were afraid for their lives. ( In our case where the next dollar would come from) They looked for Jesus to help them and found him fast asleep. ( in our case looked for money in a struggling town through grants and community donations) They were terrified because of the storm and woke Jesus up.
Jesus calmed the storm and asked the disciples; Why are you so afraid/ Have you no faith. So I guess what I'm trying to say in this story is we must learn to tell our thoughts to "Be Still", just as Jesus calmed the sea. We often ask God, but we don’t be still long enough to receive his blessings and guidance. We will wait a week for it to rain money but not a second to listen to what God is saying and it often brings on the second guessing. From the founding of this organization I had no money but plenty of faith and I tell you now the day I fell to my knees and asked God why is it so hard for me to make it work? I didn't wait for the answer I just kept pushing forward and a friend of mine gave me a bible and I tossed it on the seat of my truck and it opened and a verse jumped out at me when it opened to the book of Matthew;
Matthew 17:14=20 – “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
"NORMAL Inc. is like a mustard seed the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree
