Don't let this summer be just another summer for your children. Send them to one of our camps in Clear Spring, Maryland June -July or our Challenge Camp in Swanton, Maryland August 15th- 19th.
Parents! Did you know? Children are spending half as much time outdoors as they did 30 years ago. My, programs have proven that children who play outside are more physically active, more creative in their play, less aggressive and show better concentration and fight childhood obesity.
You will find our camps a perfect place for positive, fun, and well supervised opportunities for your children to interact with nature. Our camps are educational and experience based. Your children won’t just hear about the outdoors, they will spend the summer helping document the wildlife with photographs, planting trees to restore the forest. This will allow them to go into the camp and participate in restoring our wildlife habitat.. Your children may get their hands dirty planting trees, building their own nature observation post, working in the community garden, building a bird houses, create a toad house or land a first fish.
The Outward Bound Nature & Conservation Program founder Garry Holman has designed and offered quality day camp experiences for the youth of Washington County for over 25 years. Our enthusiastic staff provides a safe, caring atmosphere with age appropriate activities for children ages 6 through 16 years.
